Year 12: Class of 2024
Nat Ayton, Head of House - Cuthbert
Last week marked the end of classes for the graduating Class of 2024. While the next month will see them study for and sit their final exams, we had lots of celebratory events to acknowledge this significant moment in their lives.
On Thursday they had their final classes and to celebrate students enjoyed “Initials Day” dressing in a huge array of creative and colourful costumes based on their initials.
On Friday they bid farewell to DCC and some of the highlights of the day included:
On Monday evening students, families and friends gathered at the Valedictory Service to celebrate and give thanks for everyone involved (God, parents, siblings, extended family, and friends), in helping these young people to finish Year 12 and become the humans they are today.
It takes a village to support a young person to navigate the school years, so when we mark these milestones with events, there are many involved behind the scenes. I would like to extend my deep appreciation to DCC parents, grounds and maintenance staff, administrative staff, FOD, parent helpers, Primary and Secondary staff and students and the Leadership team for making these last moments unforgettable, encouraging and fun.
And finally, to the class of 2024 – we hope that you continue to allow God to transform you wherever you are, wherever you go.
