Term 4 Week 4 2024 -  Friday 15th of November. 

What have we been up to? 

It has been a wonderful few weeks in 1/2! Halfway through the term already!!! 

Last week the Le Page Art Show took place. It was incredible to see all of the creative and wonderful art that all of the 1/2s have made throughout this year. They should be so proud of all of their hard work! 

The past two weeks our students have been busy completing their end of year testing, they have all been trying extremely hard! We have also been focusing on our new inquiry topic all about Space!

Just a reminder that all the students need to be wearing hats in term Four. 

Art Show!

What is coming up?

Reading 

We have been reading the story “I wanna Iguana” and “I wanna a new room”. These picture books focus on the components and purpose of a persuasive text. This week the students will be writing the teachers a persuasive letter on why Mr Danson needs to give the students amazing new classrooms. 

Writing 

For writing, we will be continuing our Write To Learn sessions as well as completing our persuasive letters.  

Maths 

Last week in Maths we were learning about Statistics which focuses on how we collect, record and interpret the data we have collected. This week will be working on probability. The likelihood of specific events occurring. In the coming weeks we will also be completing our maths Essential Assessments. 

Important reminders:

• Please don’t forget to bring back your Home Readers each Friday. This is very important. Students need to be returning these books so that they can borrow new ones for home reading practice. 

• If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your child's classroom teacher through Compass or via the school email and it will be passed on to them.

• Specialist Days 
• Monday - AUSLAN, Art/Cultural Studies, PE & Music
• Thursday - Culture alternating each week with respectful relationships (health).
