Under perfect blue skies and sunshine, Chev Swimming Carnival for 2025 was a huge success! From fierce competition to fun-filled novelty races, the energy was fun. House spirit was at an all time high with loud chants, cheering, and friendly rivalry.
Congrats to all place-getters and our super fish who dived into the fun!

The Southern Highlands Secondary Schools Twilight Carnival saw an outstanding display of talent and determination, with swimmers achieving remarkable results across various age groups.
Among the standout performers, Matthew H claimed the 13-year Boys Age Champion title, while Antonio H secured the 14-year Boys Age Champion award. Harry S put in a strong performance to earn Runner-up in the same category. In the 15-year division, Geordie N took the top spot as Age Champion, with Lucas H finishing as Runner-up. The competition remained fierce in the senior divisions, with Charlie T claiming the 16-year Boys Age Champion title, swimming a division above his actual age. In the 17-year category, Jack W secured the Runner-up position, while Matthew B triumphed as Champion.
On the girls’ side, Arabelle T was crowned 13-year Girls Age Champion, and Jessica V continued the success, winning the 14-year Girls Age Champion title. Delilah K showcased her skill as the 15-year Girls Age Champion, with Alex H securing Runner-up. In the younger division, Harriet V impressed with a Runner-up finish in the 12-year category. Jessica W also delivered a fantastic performance, claiming the 18-year Girls Age Champion title.
To cap off an exciting evening of competition, Chevalier College was awarded the prestigious Overall Boys Shield, recognising their collective dominance in the pool. The girls team placed second overall, relinquishing the shield to Frensham College by just 3 points.

Chev Summer sports teams have been working hard this season with several teams securing spots in the finals and others making a strong push in the semi-finals.
In basketball, the 1st Boys Basketball, 15A Boys Basketball, 15B Boys Basketball, and 14 Boys Basketball teams have dominated their competition, earning direct entry into the finals. Meanwhile, the 13 Boys Basketball, Girls 1st Basketball, and Junior A Girls Basketball teams continue their impressive runs, advancing to semi-finals to be played tomorrow.
In touch football, the Boys 1st Touch, Boys Junior A, Boys Junior B, Girls 1st Touch, Girls 2nd Touch, Girls Junior A, Girls Junior B, and Girls Junior C teams have all fought hard to keep their seasons alive as they prepare for critical semi-final and final matchups to be held on Saturday 15 March.
On the cricket field, the 1st XI will compete in the semi-final in the 1B Division and the 2nd XI will meet St Gregory’s College in the Division 3 final next Saturday.

The Mountain Biking Team had an impressive showing at the inaugural NICA Stromlo Mountain Bike Race, securing a well-deserved second place. The team showcased their skills at Mt Stromlo and are now preparing for the annual Willo MTB race.
Meanwhile, the Chev Triathletes competing at the NSW All Schools Triathlon delivered exceptional performances in challenging conditions at the event held in Penrith. Their resilience and determination led to some fantastic results that demonstrated their strength and athleticism.
In another exciting highlight, the Show Team excelled at the Kangaroo Valley Show, achieving fantastic results across various events. With more events ahead, the excitement continues to build. Stay tuned for the results from the Robertson and Moss Vale Shows, where the team will look to build on their success.
