Interschool Sport & Sports Program

I just wanted to clarify the Compass events for Interschool Sport & Sports Program for Term 1.

All the Yr. 5 & 6 students are involved in sport on a Thursday morning from 9:00am - 10:40am. The Yr. 6 students have priority over the Yr. 5 students regarding selection in our 12 Interschool Sport Teams.

Therefore, if you child isn't in a team and is in the Sports Program. They will still be involved in sport on a Thursday morning. We employ coaches to come in and run the following sports with the students: Basketball, Tennis, Table Tennis & Dance.

We require everyone to give permission & payment for the event your child has been assigned to prior to Sunday 9th February.

Outdoor Electives Program

Many thanks to all the Yr. 5 & 6 students that have signed up for our Outdoor Electives Program this year. We have had an amazing response with 190+ students signing up. The sign-up process has now closed.

My aim is to offer all students who have signed up, to attend 1 of their selected electives through the year. You will know when your child has been selected, as you will receive a Compass notification, saying they you need to pay/permission for the elective.

Just so everyone is clear, your son/daughter will not be able to attend all the electives they signed up for. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to get in contact with me.

SSV Team VIC Trials

Every year School Sport Victoria run trials to select their Team VIC teams that represent Victoria at the national competition later in the year. You need to nominate your child for these trials using the following link: https://www.ssv.vic.edu.au/team-vic

Your nomination then needs to be endorsed by Milgate PS. It is important that you realise that these trials are for elite students who are already playing the top level of competition in their chosen sport. These trials are not a COME & TRY EVENT.
