Opening Of The School Year Mass

Thank you to all our families who were able to join us on Tuesday evening to celebrate the beginning of the 2025 school year. In a Spirit Filled Mass with so many families from diverse backgrounds, we celebrated our common link to Sacred Heart School and Parish. Thank you to our Faith Education Leader Kate who organised such a special Mass, to our staff who played an important part assisting Kate on the night and our parents who helped with light refreshments. I left the school with Antoinette at 8.30pm with about ten families still enjoying each others company in the yard.

Can I thank Father Aloysius for his gentle wisdom and incredible support of our school and its community.

Classroom Helper's Workshop

Thank you to the parents who participated in yesterday's classroom helpers workshop conducted by Antoinette. I know our teachers are very grateful for the help of our great parents in the classroom. We look forward to these parents assisting our teachers in the coming weeks.

Outdoor Library

We are in the process of establishing an outdoor library for students who would like to spend some of their recess and lunch pursuing their passion of reading. If you have any children's books at home that you would like to donate, please leave them at the school office.

Foundation Class 2026 Enrolments

Whilst  enrolments for Foundation class  2026 officially open on Tuesday 4th March, my impending Long Service Leave have seen me accept enrolments in the last week. So far we have nine enrolments for Foundation 2026 with five siblings joining our school next year. The last two years have seen a healthy increase in students enrolling at Sacred Heart and 2026 promises to continue this pattern. If you know of neighbours, family and friends who have children commencing school in 2026, spread the word about Sacred Heart and encourage them to contact the school for a tour.

Altar Servers

On Tuesday our Altar Servers had a refresher workshop with Teresa (accompanied by me) from the Sacred Heart Parish. With two new Altar Servers joining us this year in Jazlyn and Tazlyn, we will have one more workshop next week. Our students will be rostered on to help Father Aloysius at either the Sunday morning 10.30am Mass or Saturday evening Mass.

Tuesday's Guitar And Keyboard Tutoring

A reminder that guitar and keyboard lessons are offered on a Tuesday both individually and in small group sessions. Further details can be obtained at the office.

Sacred Heart Parish Dance Party

The dance will now be held at a later date in May.
