Presentation Day Speech 2023

I too would like to acknowledge the Dunghutti people who are the traditional custodians of this land. I would also like to pay respect to Elders both past and present of the Dunghutti nation and extend that respect to other Aboriginal people present.

Good morning special guests, staff, students, parents & carers & welcome to our 2023 Presentation Day.

This day serves as a celebration of accomplishments, a reflection on the journey we've embarked upon together, and an opportunity to embrace the boundless potential that lies ahead.

Before we delve into the exciting events of today, I would like to extend a warm welcome to our esteemed alumni who have graced us with their presence. They stand before you as living testaments to the transformative power of education and the limitless possibilities that unfold when one harnesses the opportunities offered within these school walls. Your academic achievements, artistic endeavours, athletic triumphs, and community service initiatives have not only shaped your individual journeys but have also contributed to the rich tapestry of our school community.

In the spirit of our alumni's success, I implore each of our students to seize every opportunity that comes their way. Our school offers a myriad of resources, extracurricular activities, and academic programs designed to nurture and challenge you. They were once in your shoes, dreaming of the future, and today they stand as accomplished individuals who have used the tools provided by their education to carve out unique paths for themselves.

Finally, I would like to acknowledge and thank the staff of KHS. Thank you for your skill, work ethic & perseverance. I am proud that you are my colleagues and I am appreciative of the work that you do each day for the young people of Kempsey.
