Term 4 - Ros Hill

IN THE GARDEN

At this stage of the year we are getting the garden ready for the summer break - weeding, mulching and establishing some crops ready for 2024.

Our garlic crop was not as bountiful as we had hoped but, sometimes the weather does not support our efforts.  A huge thank you to the families who will care for the chooks and water the garden over the summer.

IN THE KITCHEN

To finish up the year the Grade 3 and 4 students are having lots of fun feasting on yummy scones, with plenty to take home and share.  The photo at the top of the page show a group eager to see their scones cook.

During the second 'step up' session, the 2024 Grade 3 and 4 students made and tasted pea pesto - yummy! See the recipes below.

To finish off

Thankyou to the wonderful Mullum Community (staff, students, parents, carers) for your friendship and support over the past years. I have been so lucky to see children grow from Foundation to Grade 6 and then see them in later years.  Finishing my career in this role has been a delight, working with children in a less structured atmosphere as they explore and develop new life skills - thank you Marie for enabling this.

Wishing you all the very best in 2024 and beyond.
