DIWALI FESTIVAL AT MCC
Diwali is a significant religious festival in Sikhi, Hinduism and Jainism. It is also popularly known as the “Festival of Lights” and embodies the triumph of light over darkness and signifies the victory of good over evil. It is a period for spiritual purification and fresh starts. During Diwali, people wear their finest clothes, illuminate the interior and exterior of their homes with saaki (earthen lamp), diyas and rangoli, perform worship ceremonies of Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity and wealth, light fireworks, and partake in family feasts, where mithai (sweets) and gifts are shared
Thank you to Balinder and Harnek Dhanoa, Raj Kaoor and Shruti Sharma for bringing in the beautiful food for our staff to share in celebration of Diwali.
