CURRICULUM FOCUS

This week we are maintaining our confidence to write narratives. Our narratives will include characters, settings, sizzling starts, problems and a resolution to complete the story. 

VOCABULARY

Adjective: Describes a noun (person/place/thing).

Recount: Something that has already happened.

Editing: Re-reading our writing to see if it makes sense. Editing for spelling, punctuation, meaning.

Publishing: Making a good copy.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

You may like to play a game with pictures. To spark awesome stories, you could show your child photos of something you have done together and have your child write a retell of what happened or create an imaginative twist.
