Intermediate Boys Basketball

Our Intermediate Boys Basketball Team travelled to Melbourne on Monday 13th November to compete in the 2023 State Champs, well done to Mr Bruce and the team on qualifying.

The boys played three games and came up against some very good opposition throughout the day from Wodonga Christian College, Viewbank College and Berwick College who went on to become the State Champs.

It was an amazing effort from all boys to experience State Basketball, thanks to all the parents who gave up there day to support the team and to Mr Bruce for ensuring the boys enjoyed their day.

Year 7 Girls State Basketball

Congratulations on our Year 7 Girls basketball team on qualifying to play at the State Champs in Melbourne last Tuesday 14th November.

The girls played 3 pool games for the day winning one and loosing two.

Game 1: Horsham College defeated Catholic College Wodonga 41 to 22

Game 2: Horsham College lost to Mount Ridley College 23 to 31

Game 3 Horsham College lost to Berwick College 18 to 28.

Game 2 was certainly the highlight of the day and the girls should be very proud of their performance against Mount Ridley who went on to become State Champs.  It was a very high-quality game and to only to lose by eight points against the best SSV team is something to be very proud of.

Thanks again to Mr Bruce, Jason & Brooklyn for ensuring the girls had an amazing day.

Year 8 Boys State Tennis

Last Thursday 16th the Year 8 boys got up early to travel to Melbourne to play tennis at Dendy Park Brighton only to be told when we were 10 minutes away that the day was cancelled due to the courts being too wet and dangerous to play on.

The day has been rescheduled to this Thursday at Dingley Tennis Club which means another early start for all involved.

Congratulations to Eli B, Henry W, Jasper C, Will K and Liam R on making the state championships. Your resilience and character you showed last week was amazing despite the disappointing outcome of the day, travelling all that way to not hit a tennis ball you should all be very proud.
