Year 10 Horticulture

The end of the term was marked by a delightful celebration as our Year 10 students savoured the fruits of their labour – quite literally! As part of their engaging unit, these budding horticulturists took part in nurturing and growing their own carrots.

The culmination of their efforts was a momentous occasion, as the students joyfully harvested the carrots, they had diligently tended to throughout the term. It was a rewarding experience for them, witnessing firsthand the fruits, or in this case, vegetables of their hard work.

The sense of accomplishment and pride in seeing the tangible results of their labour was evident on their faces as they relished the freshly harvested carrots.

The atmosphere was filled with laughter and camaraderie as the students enjoyed the fruits of their labour. Not only did they savour the carrots, but they also relished the memories and experiences that came with cultivating these vegetables. The celebration served as a reminder of the value of hands-on learning and the satisfaction derived from nurturing something from seed to harvest.

This experience not only enriched their understanding of agriculture but also instilled a sense of responsibility and appreciation for the journey that food takes from the soil to the table. Overall, it was a heart-warming conclusion to their unit, fostering a deeper connection between the students and the natural world around them.
