Senior School Report

Year 11 and 12 Launch Classes

Over the past two weeks students have completed an introduction to Year 11 and Year 12. Students were thoroughly engaged whilst completing the program and excited for the new year.

“Launch was an excellent two-week program that was well thought out and planned. I am part of vocational major and students were excited about their learning and next year. The program was a mixture of Numeracy, Literacy, Work Related Skills and Personal Development. We also worked as a team planning out the new garden plots. I really enjoy it as it is hands on.Sean Bernhard - Year 10

“The launch program has prepared me for VCE. It has giving me a look at the workload and the expectations for next year. I am really grateful for this experience and am looking forward to 2024.”

Children’s University

Scoresby Secondary College proudly stands as the inaugural secondary school to join Swinburn Children's University. Witnessing our students graduate on Thursday, November 30th, was a great honour and a momentous occasion highlighting the crucial role of early education and the boundless potential within every child. The beaming pride of families at the graduation ceremony speaks volumes about our shared commitment to each child's educational journey. Together, we celebrate the power of education to unlock a future full of possibilities. Congratulations to our Senior graduates Addi Jones, Emma Foden and Angie Norton!

Year 9 into Year 10 Transition

Monday 4 and Tuesday 5 December. The Year 9 students took part in a program that helped our transition into Year 10. We looked over things like how Year 10 would look, our careers, and what we think our future would look like. We covered work experience and even had some of this year's year 10 students talk to us about their experiences which helped us see what a great opportunity it is. We also developed career action plans and created vision boards for the next 5-10 years. Overall the program has been successful and it has been a great opportunity to prepare us not only for year 10 but for our futures in general.”
