Year One/Two News

On Friday the 14th of November, the Year Two students took part in the Year Two Day Camp Experience. This is a much anticipated annual event and all the students were very excited to be participating. The students had the chance to experience what it would be like to go on camp, but in a mini version.
The day began with an introduction and expectations and then everyone boarded the bus to take us to Victoria Park in Ballarat. When we arrived, we had our fruit break and then played on the playground until it was time for snack. After snack, it was time for some more playing or for some quiet time working on our camp booklets. Miss Woodfield was on the look out for good behaviour and people displaying our school values of Courage, Kindness and Respect.
At 12:00 the bus came to pick us up to go back to school. When we got back to the gym we had some time to do some camp booklet activities and then it was time to get changed into our casual clothes. A picnic lunch outside followed and then it was time for tabloid sports.
The gym was set up with nine different activities to move around. In groups the students rotated through the activities and while having music to bop along to in the background.
After all the running and activity, we cooled down with a Zooper Dooper outside before heading back in for the disco and then changing into our pyjamas ready for the movie and pizza.
A great day was had by all involved and it sure will be something that the students remember for a long time.
