Portfolio of Achievement

The Portfolio of Achievement is a values driven framework designed to promote character development. As part of their journey at Kinross Wolaroi School, Year 9 and 10 students will set personal goals that align with our School Values—Courage, Resilience, Inclusiveness, Respect, and Commitment—as well as Environmental Responsibility, recognising the importance of sustainability and climate action. Students then provide evidence of their engagement in activities that reflect these values, ensuring they are not just spoken about but actively lived.

In 2025, Kinross Wolaroi School celebrated its most distinguished year on record, with 70 students successfully completing their Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award at the Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels. This remarkable achievement reflects not only their dedication to the program but also their willingness to embrace challenge and growth. Throughout their journeys, students have developed resilience, independence, and a sense of purpose, qualities that extend far beyond the school environment and equip them with the character, confidence, and capability to thrive in life after school.

KWS Internship Program

KWS Internship Program- A key element of the Experiential Learning program at KWS is the Year 10 Internship initiative. This program provides students with meaningful, hands-on exposure to a range of industries within or community, helping them build a strong work ethic and develop essential, future focused skills. Through real-world tasks and workplace experiences, students are challenged to think critically, adapt, and grow, gaining valuable transferable skills that support their success well beyond their school years. KWS was extremely proud of the 2025 interns and thankful for the outstanding mentorship provided by host employers

  • Ida Gibson, The Ultimate Playground.
  • Laura Chudleigh, The Hotel Canobolas.
  • Joe Dunworth, Fiorini’s Restaurant.
