From the Prefects...

Dear Kinross Wolaroi Families,
As we near the end of the year, everyone has been looking forward to the upcoming events we have be planning. Our House Prefects have continued to make a meaningful impact, both within the school and across the wider community, through a variety of charity initiatives and events. The Prefect Team have been working hard to organise these opportunities, demonstrating genuine commitment to supporting those in our wider community every way they can.
Over the past few weeks, McLachlan House has been raising funds for the White Ribbon Foundation, an organisation dedicated to supporting families affected by domestic violence. The House Leadership Team has shown tremendous initiative, offering baked goods and a white ribbon in exchange for each donation. Their efforts have been a meaningful contribution to an important cause and a wonderful display of compassion within our school community.
As we head toward the end of Term 4, our school is buzzing with excitement for our upcoming Christmas Social. This new event looks to bring students together to celebrate the festive season with music, activities, and plenty of Christmas cheer. We look forward to seeing our whole community come together for a fun and memorable afternoon.
Throughout November, our school has also proudly supported Movember, an important initiative raising awareness for men’s mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer. Our staff and students have engaged in conversations, participated in activities, and helped spread awareness of the importance of checking in, speaking up, and supporting the wellbeing of the men and boys in our lives. A big thank you to everyone who contributed. This involvement within the school has helped strengthen a culture of care, connection, and open conversation across our school.
As we reflect on the year, it’s clear how much we have achieved together. From learning growth and sporting success, we can see how strong the school community has grown. With the farewell of Dr Parry, the leadership team looks forward to working with our new Principal, Mr Kelly, and is excited for what the next year holds for the school.
We are incredibly proud of what our leadership team has been accomplishing over the past few weeks and are on the way to ending the term on a good note!
Kind Regards,
Julia and Charlie
