The YES Program supports students to stay engaged in their learning, build connections with industry trainers, and demonstrate competency through practical tasks.
In the Construction workshop, students proudly built their own Mimosa Cape Cod timber chairs, while in Engineering/Welding, students completed a portable barbecue. These projects were completed over four to five Fridays, and the results showcase the students’ dedication, teamwork, and newly acquired technical skills.
TERM 4 – White Card Course (20 November) Western Riverina Community College (WRCC)
White Card Training – Term 4
This term, Year 10 and senior students had the opportunity to complete their White Card course through WRCC (Western Riverina Community College), with support from our VET Coordinator, Lucia Dickie. The course is a mandatory requirement for working on construction sites and helps students develop important safety skills, including hazard identification, risk management, and safe work practices.
Why the White Card Matters

· Students wishing to undertake construction-related work experience must have a valid White Card.
Course Requirements
· Students must be 14+ years old and provide a USI, Photo ID Letter, and LLN Test
· The face-to-face course covers practical safety skills for the construction industry.
· On completion, students receive a Statement of Attainment and White Card in the post.
Our students
