Leader of Wellbeing and Pastoral Care

As we approach the end of another amazing year, I would like to extend my warmest wishes to all our students, families, and staff. 2025 has been a remarkable year with our College encouraging students to “Live the Marian Way” and to do this by demonstrating the core values of Respect, Community and Growth.
From a wellbeing perspective, this year has been incredibly rewarding. We have seen our students thrive not only academically but also in their personal development—building resilience and strong connections with peers and mentors. In this term alone we have seen students participate in the Yr 12 Formation Camp, the Year 10 Experience at Hightops and again for Year 10 the IGNITE sessions at school. These opportunities are particularly valuable for Year 10 as they look to take large steps in the schooling - transitioning from the school environment or into senior studies.
This week has seen what may well be a huge change and challenge for many of our students and their families with the introduction on December 10 of the new Government restrictions on social media. There are some wonderful resources designed to help navigate this time including ReachOutSchools and the E-Safety Commission. These could help support you in conversations with your teen and navigating the changes.
As we prepare to celebrate Christmas and anticipate the New Year, I wish you all a safe, joyful, and holy festive season. Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership.
