Build Your Own Guitar

Students in this elective are lucky enough to be guided through the guitar making process by talented musician and the guru of all things technical - Brad Redmond. The timber looks beautiful and students can be seen concentrating on their work to ensure a quality end product.

Making and Breaking

These students spent a few lessons designing, building and then testing a bridge made from spaghetti and a hot glue gun to hold it all together. The bridges needed to span a 30cm gap, and were tested by carefully adding sand to a bucket, which was weighed once the bridge failed.

Student Teacher - Bailey

We said our goodbyes to Bailey last week, as sadly his time as a Student Teacher came to an end. Bailey spent the final week of Term 2, and first week of Term 3 in a range of humanities classrooms while completing a practical component of his teacher studies. Staff were positive about working with Bailey, and commented on his confidence and enthusiasm. As part of the Laws and Citizenship elective, Bailey ran a court room activity with the class which engaged everyone.

My Island Home

Sharon's diverse skills and flair with Science were a nice treat for these middle years students while they were learning about volcanoes. Unpredictable in nature, with lava flows potentially ending up going in any direction - the model volcano that Sharon created perfectly demonstrated these unknowns.
