Grandparents &       Special Friends Day

On a wet, chilly morning on Friday 26th July, St Mary of the Angels welcomed an abundance of visitors to celebrate our Grandparents and Special Friends' Day. Our young people were pleased to join their 'special someone' to celebrate the Mass commemorating the Feast of St Anne and St Joachim, Jesus' grandparents. We then put our learning on display in classrooms where our visitors worked alongside the children to complete engaging activities. 

Finally, we were able to show our appreciation of the wonderful people that are grandparents and special friends by treating them to a warm cup of tea or coffee and a delightful array of delicious treats.

Thank you to Fr. O'Shea for the Mass, the children for their joyous interactions with our visitors, the staff for baking, the coffee van (Floatin Around) for providing warm beverages and most importantly, the grandparents and special friends who joined us for a wonderful morning.
