Book Week

BOOK WEEK DRESS-UP AT LUNCHTIME

Our Creative Writing Club and Book Club members invite you to dress-up for Book Week at lunchtime on Thursday 22nd August.

Dress-up as a character from a book or related to the theme of “Reading is Magic”. We will have a parade in the library and have prizes for the Best Home-Made costume, Most Creative Twist, Most In-Character costume, Best Pair or Group costumes and Best Staff costume.

We will also be running a raffle to raise money for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (who work with remote Aboriginal communities to create books in their own first languages) and World Literacy Foundation (who this year are raising funds to build 5 new libraries in Uganda – a country of 47 million people which only has 45 public libraries).

For more information about these charities, please check out their websites below.
