The Geoff Herkes Memorial Concert

On Sunday 4th August, music staff and students took to the stage at The Ballarat Jazz Club for a two and a half hour show to honour the memory of Geoff Herkes who initiated this partnership a decade ago.

This is a fabulous exercise in community engagement and the "full house" at The Ballarat Golf Club venue were treated to a brilliant afternoon of jazz, blues and improvised music.

The Jazz Club generously donated $1000 to the Performing Arts Department, bringing the total of their financial support to nearly 8K over the last ten years.

I am sure Geoff was proudly watching over us and enjoying the afternoons entertainment.
