School Production a Sellout!

From 25th-27th July the Robinson Centre saw packed houses each night for the School Production of 'Matilda Jr.'

In the lead up to opening night, the cast and crew had two dress rehearsal days where they gave trial/previews to our Year 7s as well as some local primary school groups. This experience enabled them to fine tune the performance and made for a cracking opening night on the Thursday.

The cast and crew were even presented with a standing ovation on both opening and closing nights. Whilst we don't see standing ovations all the time, this was well deserved after all their hard work and dedication. 

We've heard a lot of feedback from our audiences such as: 

"A great ensemble cast, they worked so well together" 

"So much amazing talent at the school"

"The man in the sparkly pants was my favourite... when he said 'My legs! My Precious legs!'"

"It was better than incredible" 

From within the cast/crew, students have expressed how much they love being part of the production "family" and certainly the staff who oversee the show are proud to see our students from Year 7-12 connecting and collaborating so well together. 

There are quite a few people who don't know what to do with themselves on a Sunday morning now!
