Principal's Message

Dear parents, students and families,

I trust everyone has returned refreshed to school for what promises to be both a busy, and very exciting, third term. The term is chock full of experiences with African Drumming already commenced, many children over the next few weekend receiving their First Eucharist at the weekend masses, the Olympic Games kicking off in a couple of weeks which some of the learning will be around, Round Robin Senior Sport for our Year 5 and 6 commencing later in the term, Book Week in August and of course one for the parents- our annual P and F Trivia Night!!

This week's Gospel's message is about being an upstander for what is right and rising up above the challenges of life.  This is something that can easily be translated into our everyday lives.  Over the next 4 weeks a number of our students will be receiving Eucharist for the first time. We pray that the Holy Spirit helps them to develop their gifts as they move to becoming full members of the Church.  Please keep Luke B, Lola T, Lawson C, Kevin C, Grace F, Oscar L, Jasper H, Logan P, Chantelle B, Oliver H, Edward K, Ziggy P and Lilith T in your prayers.

Looking ahead to next week we have our soccer team attending the Division Soccer finals on Friday in Mornington and we wish them all the very best on the day. Friday is also our annual Grandparents Day on our Feast Day. We look forward to welcoming our many visitors to this very special morning celebration.

Child safety is very important to all at St Anne's and I have been made aware that we have some students coming to school extra early in the morning and waiting in the parkland behind the school, including some who ride. Our yard is supervised from 8.30am and students are very welcome in our yard after this. Otherwise please make arrangements for before school care in our Hall with Moira.

Kind regards and God Bless

Rod Shaw

Principal
