Heart to Heart

After eight weeks of working on their artworks, the students who took place in the Heart to Heart Program showcased their prints to their family and friends. It was a wonderful morning with the girls showing off their work and celebrating their achievements. It was lovely to meet Donna Rankin on the day. Donna is the founder of the program and after the exhibition we had the opportunity to discuss the success of the program and why the program is so important to her. 

Through participation in carefully structured activities the students were given the opportunity to learn new skills and methods to improve their social and emotional wellbeing. They were encouraged to work through the difficulties they were facing, in a safe environment.  A short presentation took place, and the girls received their paint brushes and a gift from the facilitators of Heart to Heart. It is the first time the program has run at the school, and we are excited that it will return in Term 3. Ladies in Year 7 and 8 will be invited to take part.
