PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Welcome back to Term 3! 

It may be cold and windy outside at the moment but the atmosphere here at school is terrific- with the great majority of students getting back into the swing of things very quickly.

Firstly, a huge thank you to all staff and students for making me feel so welcome. Specifically, I would like to thank Anne for providing me with all the necessary information for me to commence my role here as Acting Principal for Term 3, including giving up some of her time during the holidays to brief me.

I have been most impressed with what is occurring in the classrooms. It is evident to me that our ‘Instructional Model’ is being carried out along with the way in which our School Wide Positive Behavior program is influencing our every day decision making. These approaches will continue to be a huge focus here at Mortlake P-12 College.

As per Anne’s previous newsletter, I would like to remind all families that if your child has cold or flu like symptoms- just notify us via Sentral of the need for them to stay at home.

We are currently seeking two further members of the teaching staff and will keep you posted on how we progress here over the next few weeks.
