Cane Basket Weaving Workshop

The Koorie Heritage Trust are proud to offer a Cane Basket Weaving workshop with Daniel Hills (Yorta Yorta) – the winner of the 11th Koorie Art Show Creative Victoria Award for Excellence in any Media for his artwork, “Goanna Outback” 2023.  Daniel also has an artwork in the current exhibition Spirit of the Animals.

Country Road + NGV First Nations Commissions: My Country

The Country Road + NGV First Nations Commissions: My Country is a national, biennial mentorship and exhibition program that pairs emerging Australian First Nations artists and designers with one of eight esteemed industry mentors. Working collaboratively, the mentors each support and guide an emerging artist to create their most ambitious work to date.

Responding to this year’s exhibition theme of My Country, these new works are displayed in a major exhibition at The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia.
