Unit of Work

Safety Safari

This term, the Preps will be exploring in our Unit of Work ‘Safety Safari’. Our wonderful Preps have already started sharing the many ways they keep healthy by eating well and playing sports! They also enjoyed talking about the people who keep them safe, such as their family, teachers and people in the community such as the police, firefighters, and doctors. They have enjoyed using the Investigation play sessions to role play being a nurse, doctor or veterinarian with our classroom teddies! We look forward to a range of ‘Community Helpers’ visiting our school including the police, firefighters and an RACV instructor.  

Investigations

This term our investigations sessions support and develop social and emotional learning and promote respectful relationships. We will continue to set up a range of different ‘stations’ such as a shop, Library, kitchen, construction zones, train sets, mini classroom and discovery areas that spark your child’s interests and imaginations.
