Numeracy

We are excited to continue our Explicit Mathematics Program (EMP). We have settled into the routine of doing our oral daily Maths review incorporating skills such as ordinal numbers, subitising, more and less, counting forwards and backwards. Then we practice our skills with mini whiteboards. This term we are learning all about addition and making grouping using concrete materials like popsicle sticks. Each week we incorporate lessons focusing on all areas of the curriculum. We focus on number and algebra as well as measurement and geometry and data                                    collection.
