Learning and Teaching
Safe on Social
During the last week, our Grade 5 and 6 students and Parent/Carer community have had a chance to work with the Safe on Social Team regarding eSafety. We urge families to continue the messages and conversations regarding eSafety. To assist in the process, Safe on Social has allowed St Therese's School and Families access to the eReady Kids Program free of charge. Please see below for access information.
In addition, Senior 5 Osment/Terry reflected on their Safe on Social session and developed these tips for staying safe online.
Graduate Outcome Awards
Last week we celebrated students who displayed the Graduate Outcome of INTEGRITY. These students received a Graduate Outcome Award.
Students who graduate from St Therese’s Primary School are people of INTEGRITY, who show a strong sense of justice.
For the next fortnight, staff will continue to be on the lookout for students who display the Graduate Outcome of COURAGE.
Family Maths Challenge
During Catholic Education Week, we held our Family Maths Challenge. 67 families submitted entries into our challenge and discovered that Winnie had 5 chicken friends visit her at the patch.
This activity was a great opportunity for our families to engage in Multiplicative Thinking - Multiplicative thinking is indicated by a capacity to work flexibly with the concepts, strategies, and representations of multiplication (and division) as they occur in a wide range of contexts.
Congratulations to the Miller family - including Grace (Grade 1) and Thomas (Grade 3) who were drawn out as our winners and took home a family Maths pack!
