MGC Aerobics Update

The senior MGC athletes have had an extremely eventful start to the year. Our elite athletes began the long process of making their routines at the end of September last year, training through the Summer and to the beginning of term. This term included a focus of building fitness and strength, as well as developing routines and upgrading skills.

In April, the girls competed in the Aerodynamix Invitational where Brooke Marsland, Estelle Paul, Taya Argus and Amara Looi each achieved amazing individual results.

The MGC athletes will also compete in 2 selective state team trials in the upcoming week, where the girls will hopefully be chosen to represent Victoria at the Australian Gymnastics Championships in Gold Coast in June.

For our junior girls, they have had an amazing start, learning their new routines and skills and finding out their teams for this year. We had lots of Year 7s try-out and join our High-Performance team this year and can’t wait to see them develop into some strong MGC athletes.

Most importantly, a massive thanks to Amber and Maz and all our amazing coaches for their hard work allowing for the continuation of aerobics at MGC.
