One of our own competes for QLD in a national hockey comp
Congratulations to Franky Baker for making the Queensland U16 hockey team. He played in the National Championships in Tasmania last month.
A man of Saints took part in the Cowboys Muster
Leslie Fatafehi recently participated in the Cowboys Muster game, which served as a curtain-raiser to the Cowboys vs Titans match. Players from regions including FNQ, NQ, Mackay, Rockhampton, and SEQ were selected to participate in this game. Well done, Leslie!
Six Saints students play in a curtain-raiser AFL match in Darwin
Mitchell Hurst, Mitchell Seles, Fred Seccull, Cooper Glass, Justin Langham and Matthew White represented Cairns in the U18 AFL Lions team. They played against the Northern Territory U18s team as a curtain raiser to the North Melbourne vs Gold Coast Suns fixture. Cairns, unfortunately, lost; however, it was still a great experience for the boys. Credit Cairns Post.
Hockey 13-15
Good luck to the St Augustine’s 13-15 & 16-19 Peninsula Hockey representatives who are currently competing in Rockhampton this week.
Basketball 13-16
A shoutout to our Saints boys who brought their A-game to the Queensland School Sport Basketball State Championships in Cairns. The boys put on a stellar performance, clinching 4th place in the state. Though they missed out on a medal, we're incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication.
