Science

Years 1 and 2

Years 1 and 2 have been looking at changes in our environment and considering why some things change over time and why some things stay the same. We took photo’s at the end of summer and again this week, in Autumn, to see what changes had occurred. Some changes occurred because of a change in season, some because of the weather, some because of the time of day and others because of the building works at the school.

February, Summer

May, Autumn

Each student collected an Autumn leaf then had the challenge of finding someone with a leaf exactly the same colour as theirs.

Foundation

Foundation students participated in an incursion about native frogs. It was fun listening to the frog calls and thinking about what they sounded like. Did you know the Eastern Banjo Frog (Pobblebonk frog) sounds like a banjo?
