Winter Concert – Tuesday 24 June
We’re thrilled to invite you to this year’s Winter Concert, an inspiring evening of music that showcases the talent and dedication of Huntingtower’s student musicians.

House Performing Arts Carnival
This year’s House Performing Arts Carnival was a spectacular fusion of music, theatre, and student leadership. Musicians from all year levels came together to rehearse and perform musical theatre excerpts, demonstrating a spirit of collaboration and creativity.
What made this event unique was its vertical structure. Year 7s working shoulder to shoulder with Year 12s, all led by our passionate House Music Leaders. Each House proudly assembled a full 20-piece orchestra, delivering high-quality performances that blended seamlessly with dance and drama.
This student-driven event celebrated not only musical excellence but also resilience, teamwork and leadership - skills that will carry our students well beyond the stage.
Bravo to all involved!
Thinking of a New Instrument? Try the Bassoon!
We’re on the lookout for the next great bassoonist! This unique and beautiful instrument is a vital part of many ensembles and opens up many exciting musical opportunities. It’s particularly ideal for pianists or woodwind players looking to expand their skills with a second instrument.
We’re fortunate to have a brilliant bassoon teacher on staff who has a few rare openings in his busy teaching schedule. Whether you're in Middle School or Senior School, this is a perfect time to give the bassoon a try and stand out as a versatile and in-demand player in our orchestras and bands.
If you’re interested, visit or email the Music Department to arrange a trial lesson.
Prelude Concert Band – New Players Welcome!
We’re excited to have launched rehearsals for our Prelude Concert Band, a friendly and supportive ensemble designed for beginners. Around a dozen enthusiastic young musicians have already joined us, and we rehearse on Monday afternoons from 3:20pm to 4:00pm.
This group is perfect for any students who have just started learning a woodwind or brass instrument and would like to experience the joy of playing in a band. We also warmly welcome Year 5 to Year 7 students interested in joining as percussionists, playing drums and a variety of percussion instruments.
It’s a great way to build confidence, make friends, and have fun while developing ensemble skills from the very beginning.
