Principal's Report

Term 2

As we enter the colder winter months and approach the mid-year holidays, I would like to acknowledge and thank our whole school community for your continued support and work this term. As communicated in an earlier newsletter, there has been an increase in staff and student absences due to illness. To assist with communication if your child’s teacher is absent for an extended period, please remember to ‘cc’ in the Section Leader so they can support with communication.

Respectful Behaviours within the School Community

When parents, carers and school staff work together as one team, our students thrive. Everyone at school, particularly staff and parents and carers, play a role in making school a better place for learning and work.

Parents, carers and school staff have a relationship that can last many years. This is an opportunity to work together to create a positive relationship in the best interests of your child. When this relationship is built on respect and trust, students learn better and feel like they belong in the school.

The Department of Education’s Respectful Behaviours within the School Community Policy describes the positive behaviour expected from parents, carers and other adults in Victorian school communities. The policy sets clear standards of behaviour to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for students, staff and adults.

There are also resources to support safe and respectful relationships in our school community, including information about getting involved in the school, advice on how to raise a concern or complaint, and parenting support resources. To view the policy and these resources, refer to Building a positive relationship with your child's school

2025 School Photos – Watsonia Campus

School Photos at our Watsonia Campus are occurring on Monday the 30th of June.

You are able to order school photos on Compass, under the 'Community' tab. If you are having have issues with accessing or purchasing these, please contact the school office.

Variation to School Day

On Wednesday the 2nd of July, we will be running a ‘Variation to School Day’ for our SSG meetings running from 10am – 6pm.  This isn't a traditional day of schooling as students only attend for their individual SSG time as scheduled by parents/carers. This is so teachers can have 30 minute meetings with parents/carers and where appropriate with the student.  More information will follow via Compass.

Last Day of Term

A reminder that Friday the 4th of July is the last day of Term 2. School will be finishing at 2:30pm. Please note that the busses will also be running to this earlier schedule.

As we commence Term 3, we have a whole school Curriculum Day on Monday the 21st of July. There is no school for students on this day. Term 3 will commence for all students on Tuesday the 22nd of July.
