Principal's Message

Welcome to Weeks 6 and 7 of Term 2. In this fortnight, selected Stage 2 and 3 students will be attending a science extension camp, selected Stage 3 students will attend an art extension camp, selected students will travel to the Aboriginal Cultural Centre to film interviews with local elders, our debating teams compete in the first round of the Premiere's Debating Challenge, S3P and our school orchestra perform at the Eisteddfod, and numerous students will participate in various sporting competitions.
A night of multicultural celebration
I cannot express sufficient gratitude to our P&C, performers and culinary contributors who made last week's Multicultural Food Fair another outstanding success. It was once again a wonderful night of good food, good company, fantastic music and performances, all celebrating the amazing diversity of our school community.
Diners enjoyed musical performances by students Olive, Georgie, Elsie, Sophie, Lilly, Vincent and Aastha, as well as the dolcet tones of Pete Stanley, and Rhode Show Groove, in additional to captivating dances by Mia Tahiruddin, Poonam Pande and Aastha Pande.
Thank you to James Russell for acting as photographer for the night and providing all of the above images. Thank you to the Ramage family for the loan of their fairy lights, adding to the atmosphere of the evening.
Of course, special thanks needs to be made to our dedicated P&C for organising the event, in particular, the driving force of the executive - Jodie Andrew, Katrina Mulready, Emma Briggs, Rebecca Partridge, Sarah Reeves and Kate McLinton. Our school is truly fortunate to enjoy your support.
Eisteddfod performances
Congratulations to all students who have performed at the Armidale Eisteddfod in the past fortnight. Thank you to Mrs Porter, Mrs Farmer, Mrs Pryce, Mrs Pattison, Mrs Howlett, and Wendy Griffiths for providing the opportunity for the choirs, orchestra and class groups to perform. Good luck to S3P and the orchestra this week.
Grace's hockey achievement
Congratulations to Grace Ince, who has been selected as a member of the NSW PSSA State Hockey team. This is an impressive achievement and we wish her all the best as she competes against other top players from around the country.
