Dear Parents, Carers and Friends of St Brendan’s,

Welcome to Week Six, the midpoint of Term Two! It's hard to believe how quickly the term is flying by. As we reflect on the past fortnight, it’s clear that learning, community spirit, and joyful celebration are thriving at St Brendan’s.

A School to Be Proud Of

This week, I had the privilege of taking some prospective parents on a tour of our vibrant school. We visited classes across all year levels, from Foundation to Year 5/6. As students confidently shared what they were learning and what they love most about school, I was filled with pride. St Brendan’s is truly a place where learning, wellbeing, and community are at the heart of everything we do. Thank you for being part of this special journey.

Frozen Jr. Rehearsals Are Underway!

Excitement is building as rehearsals for our much-anticipated production of Frozen Jr. have begun. Our talented students are already bringing their characters to life. Stay tuned for updates and performance dates!

Kinect2Dance Celebration

Our school was buzzing with energy during the Kinect2Dance program, which concluded with a fantastic showcase. Students had a wonderful time dancing, and it was heart warming to see so many families join in the fun. Huge thanks to Ms Chapple for organising this brilliant initiative!

St Brendan’s Feast Day

We came together to celebrate our patron saint on St Brendan’s Feast Day. The highlight was a beautiful prayer service led by our inspiring Year 5/6 students. Engaging activities were enjoyed throughout the day. Thanks again to Ms Chapple for her thoughtful planning.

Welcoming Future Foundation Students

We’re thrilled to share that 67 Letters of Offer were sent out for the 2026 Foundation year. Our largest intake yet! This incredible growth reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff and community. Thank you for making St Brendan’s a place where families want to be.

isea icare Peer Teaching Workshop

Our isea icare team proudly hosted students from nearby schools for a special peer teaching workshop on environmental care. Thank you, Mrs Coggin, for your passion and leadership in guiding our students to be responsible stewards of the planet.

Soccer with Anthony Edgar

A big thank you to Anthony Edgar (husband of Kylie Edgar, 5/6E) for sharing his soccer wisdom with our Year 3/4 players. His message about rules, fairness, and good sportsmanship left a lasting impression. We truly appreciate your time and support, Anthony!

Shoelace-Tying Tips

Our clever Year 1/2 students enjoyed a fun visit from The Shoelace Man, who shared helpful tips for mastering this important life skill. Thanks to our Year 1/2 team for organising this hands-on session.

Inaugural Women’s Lunch

Last Friday, we held our first-ever St Brendan’s Women’s Lunch at Capt’n Jack’s and what a beautiful afternoon it was! With around 50 women attending, the event was filled with laughter, connection, and community spirit. A heartfelt thank you to Kirby Saunders (Archie, 1/2) for coordinating the event, and to Natalie Bencraft (Finn, 3/4 and Imogen, 1/2) for your invaluable help.

First Eucharist Celebration

On Saturday evening, our Year Four First Eucharist candidates were warmly presented to the parish community during Mass. Thank you to our dedicated teachers and families for supporting these children on their sacred faith journey.

School Advisory Council – Term 2

Tonight, our School Advisory Council will gather for their Term 2 meeting. We look forward to sharing highlights and outcomes with you in the Week Eight newsletter.

Thank You

Thank you all for the role you play in making St Brendan’s such a thriving, caring, and dynamic community.

Have a wonderful week ahead!

Warm regards,
