Uniform

A reminder that Horsham College has an expectation that all students are in uniform. If students have outgrown their uniform or families have fallen on tough times can you please communicate to the year levels teams for support. If your child is out of uniform they will need a note from home to take to year level coordinators to gain a blue pass. A reminder that hoodies and black undershirts are NOT part of the uniform. Can we please work together to ensure each and every student is in full school uniform.

Reports

Reports are currently being written and worked through. Hopefully if your child has missed assessments or receives a non desirable outcome that staff have reached out to you. If this is not the case please reach out to the Year level coordinators to check in on your students progress.

Sporting opportunities

Over the coming weeks there are a lot of sporting opportunities being sent around on SEQTA. If your student is interested, they must be checking their SEQTA messages and responding through SEQTA. All information will be sent out this way. Don't miss out! Please keep in mind that student behaviour is considered when picking teams and that if your child is not selected please reach out. It is an expectation that all students uphold the schools values at all times to be picked for any representative sides.

VCE GAT

The GAT is Tuesday the 18th of June. Any student completing a year 12 subject will complete the GAT. The General Achievement Test assists year 12 students with their final score. The GAT is a vital piece to the puzzle and should be taken seriously as this can assist with a higher ATAR score at the end of year 12. Any questions please contact the senior team.

Careers Expo

Week 11 is when the careers expo comes to the Wimmera South West. This is an opportunity for students in years 10-12 to be able to ask questions, enquire and also learn about what universities and pathways that they have on offer as they move towards planning their careers after school. Parents are reminded to please complete paperwork on QKR to ensure that your student can attend.
