Connection, Information & Feedback
At the recent AGM of our Parents' Association held at the MCC Pavilion, our outgoing president Cliff presented on the Association's achievements, financials, and goals and voted in a new committee. We also enjoyed drinks and canapes, whilst mingling. What a lovely evening, and thanks to everyone who helped organise this.
Special thanks to Peter Bartlett for his support and attendance at the AGM.
As a result of the AGM, we'd like to express our heartfelt gratitude and thanks to Cliff, Shilpa and Viv for their passion, tireless efforts and unwavering support. Their dedication and initiatives have enriched our school community in countless ways. Some highlights include our school's inaugural twilight festival, year-level catch-ups, a highly successful annual ladies' lunch that is an eagerly anticipated part of our community's calendar, election BBQs, cake stalls, teachers thank yous... just to name a few. Thank you for your contributions. The outgoing committee has left a lasting legacy and huge shoes to fill!
With equal excitement and gratitude, we warmly welcome the newly elected President and Secretary, Natasha and Sarah. Welcome aboard and thank you for stepping up. We also welcome new committee members, Selina Nelson and Camilla Dimer. Leigh Hogarty is taking on the role of Treasurer.
We look forward to working together to continue building a vibrant, inclusive and supportive school community. Together, we make our school community a special one.
Here's a bit about our new leaders of the Parents' Association:
A bit about Natasha
I’m a proud mum of Keira in Year 9 and Liam in Year 7. I love travelling, trying new recipes in the kitchen, and making memories with friends and family. I’m lucky to be part of the school community and enjoy exploring new places, cooking up a storm, and spending quality time with loved ones. If you are looking to explore a new holiday destination, I can highly recommend Club Med in Bintan Island.
A bit about Sarah
I am blessed to be the mother of Elicia and James (Years 9 & 7). They both love sport and are part of many local teams - basketball, netball and tennis. Aside from being an enthusiastic supporter of their sport, I love meeting new people, spending time with friends and family, walking/hiking, doing pilates and anything that connects people to nature and each other. I spend my work time developing team and leadership skills to make workplaces safe and enjoyable. I’m looking forward to building our BSC parent community to be more connected, informed and fun!
Stay tuned for more information and updates as the new committee gets underway.
