Homework Club

Homework Club – Continues Term 3

At the beginning of this term, Kambrya College introduced and trialled an after-school Homework Club on Thursday afternoons in the library.

We are very happy to announce that we will be continuing to offer this opportunity for teachers and students in Term 3.

What is Homework Club?

Homework Club provides supervision and support for coursework/ homework across all subjects Year 7-9 and is facilitated by teachers and ES.

How is Homework Club different from CAT Catch-Up?

CAT Catch-Up runs at the same time as Homework Club and provides an opportunity for students to sit timed assessment tasks under test conditions following an absence.

CAT Catch-Up runs out of G1-2 from 3-4pm every Thursday.

Homework Club runs at the same time yet provides students with an opportunity to seek support and guidance in completing tasks including project-based assessment.

Compass - Homework Club Recommendation

All students are welcome to attend Homework Club, and some might also be recommended to attend by their teachers for several reasons such as:

  • Students would benefit from additional time or support with coursework/ homework
  • Students have missed a checkpoint or are falling behind in a CAT taking place over several lessons
  • Students have failed to submit a task
