Learning about families in Year 1/2
We had a fun start to school year getting to know one another. In Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS), we've been learning about Family Structures and Daily Life Changes.
The students had the opportunity to share about their families, learn about different types of families, generations and discuss where their own families come from.
We have also begun learning about some differences between childhood in the 20th century and childhood today.
Mrs Keating's class learned a few old-school games like 'Follow the Leader' and 'Captain, May I'.
Mr Brockbank's class even had a special visit from his own Grandmother, visiting from South Africa, who shared experiences from her childhood with them.

Parent Coffee Connect
Brooklyn Park Campus welcomes families for a time of connections and catch-up over coffee from 8:30 to 9am.
The next Parent Coffee Connect will be Monday 2 March. Everyone is welcome!
Parents are also welcome to join our students and stay for the Monday assembly starting at 9am at the Adelaide West Uniting Church (AWUC).
