2025 Science Week
This year’s Science Week was a vibrant celebration of curiosity! Starting off the week with students exploring a range of different science concepts and experiments, students were able to question, collaborate and be creative with their thinking.
As a celebration, each year level showcased their projects at the DPS Science Expo in the Junior Building. Each student explored different experiments, look at the Science Talent Search Competition projects and engage with our interactive and green screen stations. Thank you to the members of the community who were able to attend the expo in the afternoon. It was great to see so many people in the building!
2025 Science Talent Search Competition
Throughout Term 2 and Term 3 our amazing Level 5 students took part in the Science Talent Search, and wow—what a journey it was! Everyone became a scientist, inventor, or storyteller, exploring exciting ideas and sharing their discoveries.
Students could choose to:
🔬 Create experiments that test cool questions
🛠️ Invent models that solve real-world problems
🎨 Design bright and bold posters that teach us something new
📚 Imagine science stories that make us think and smile.
Each student worked hard, asked great questions, and showed off their curiosity and creativity. We’re so proud of their efforts and the way they shared their science with others. A big congratulations to all our young scientists, Ariyan (5H), Caleb (5K), Liyanna (5A), Naman (5H) and Torres (5K). You’ve inspired us with your thinking and your passion for learning!
If any Level 4 students are interested in competing in this competition next year, keep an eye out for some news at the beginning of 2026! We would love to see more entrants next year!
