Dear Families,

It has been such a busy and exciting term for our Year Two students, filled with creativity, learning, and fun! We are so proud of the effort, teamwork, and enthusiasm shown by all of the children.

Science Week 

Science Week was a huge success! Students created Lego models and used iPads to program them, bringing their designs to life. Their station was filled with creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork. Students also made brochures and posters for our "Amazing Amusement Park" explaining how the rides work and what the amusement park would look like in real life. We were so impressed by their amazing ideas!

Book Week 

Book Week was another highlight of the term and was packed with exciting activities:

• Cake Decorating Competition: Many of our Year 2 students entered and showed off their creativity with wonderful designs (and delicious results!).
• Author Visit – Felice Arena: The children were thrilled to meet author Felice Arena, who shared his stories and spoke about his popular books such as Specky Magee and The Boy and the Spy. His visit inspired many of our budding writers!
• Treasure Hunt Performance: Students enjoyed the high-energy “Treasure Hunt” show by Perform Education. The actors were so engaging and the songs had everyone joining in.

• Book Parade: To finish the week, students proudly dressed up as their favourite book characters. We loved seeing the creativity and effort that went into every costume—thank you to all the families for your support!

   

We couldn’t be prouder of the amazing effort and enthusiasm Year 2 has shown this term. Thank you, families, for helping make these events so memorable for your children. Great job, Year 2!
