Welcome back to Term 3. We hope all our students and families had a restful and enjoyable break. It’s been lovely to see everyone returning refreshed and ready for another busy and exciting term of learning. We’re looking forward to the many opportunities ahead and continuing to work in partnership with our community to support every student to thrive.
This week, our school proudly celebrated NAIDOC Day, with students from K-6 engaging in a variety of class-based activities designed to deepen their understanding of Aboriginal culture. The children participated in discussions that highlighted the significance of this important day. A special highlight was the creation of our Garden of Handprints, where each student contributed their unique handprint, symbolising their connection to the culture and their commitment to reconciliation.
A big thank you to our P&C and the wider school community for all the effort that went into organising today’s Fun Run. The students had a fantastic time, and it was great to see so much energy and enthusiasm out on the field. The community has done an incredible job with fundraising, and on behalf of all the staff, thank you for your support and involvement. It was a wonderful day for everyone.
We warmly invite all families to join us for our Education Week Open Day on Wednesday 6 August. This special event is part of Public Education Week 2025, a time for us to come together and celebrate the strength, diversity and achievements of NSW public education. This year’s theme, Ignite Your Potential, highlights the important role public schools play in helping every student learn, grow and thrive.
Public Education Week is also a chance to recognise the dedication of our exceptional staff, the efforts of our high potential and gifted learners, and the many achievements of students across our school. It’s a time to reflect on why we proudly choose public education and the shared commitment we all make to support every child to reach their full potential.
We look forward to welcoming you to our school and celebrating all that makes Chatswood Public School such a vibrant and inclusive learning community.
