The Art Room

Term 3

This week in the Art Room….

My favourite thing to do on a cold winter’s morning, is to unload the kiln before the students arrive for the day. The kiln is still warm from the previous days firing and when I open the door, it’s like opening a treasure box for the first time, to reveal the wonderful creations inside. This week, we have printed leaves and rolled coiled worms with grade 1, underglazed our Aussie Animal medallions with grades 3-6 and pinched personalised pots with grade 2. The Foundation students celebrated 100 Days Brighter by making and decorating clay cupcakes. They were so keen to take them home to share their creations!

Take a look at the snaps taken over the last fortnight…..
