SSV State Cross Country

Congratulations to Grace C and Harrison N who competed at the SSV State Cross Country Championships last Wednesday. Grace finished in 22nd in the 11 year old girls and Harrison finished 53rd in the 12/13 year old boys. Well done to both students on their fantastic performances.

Division AFL 9s 

As Shane mentioned in his newsletter piece, last Tuesday the AFL 9s Boys competed in the Banyule Division AFL 9s Championships. The team showed real determination throughout the day, facing tough weather conditions. They won their first match, and though they lost the second, they played with great sportspersonship and never gave up. Congratulations to the following students who competed on the day:

Reminder - Athletics Carnivals for Term 3

In Term 3, we will have both our Junior (Prep-Year 2) and Senior (Year 3-Year 6) Athletics Carnivals. 

The dates for these are as follows: 

• Junior Athletics Carnival 

Venue: Alphington Park 

Date: Tuesday the 12th of August 

Time: 11:30am-1:30pm 

• Senior Athletics Carnival 

Venue: Harriers/Collingwood Athletics Track (George Knott Athletic Field Heidelberg Road, Clifton Hill) 

Date: Thursday the 7th of August 

Time: 9:30-2:30pm 

We need volunteers for the day. Community engagement is vital for the running of our 2024 APS Athletics Carnival, and we greatly appreciate the support we’ve received for past events.
