Class Information

Welcome to week 3, which is going to be a very exciting and busy week for the Foundation students. This week the students will be participating in their very first school production as well as celebrating 100 days of school.

WEEKLY AWARDS

Each Monday afternoon, one student from each class receives an award. This term, awards are given to students displaying the qualities of Henry Backhaus including independence, persistence, using their initiative and doing something which may challenge them. Award winners will be acknowledged at the next assembly on the slide show. Congratulations to the award winners for term 3 week 2. Included are the photos of the students from week 2.

PRODUCTION

Night shows begin at 6.30pm on Wednesday and Thursday night. Please note, parents are not required to stay or purchase tickets to both shows. Students can be signed in and dropped off at the Liborius Centre at 6.00pm in costume to their classroom teacher. Students will stay with their classroom teacher until they are collected by a parent and signed out at the end of the show. We understand that the Foundation students will be exhausted after such a busy week and may require a rest day on Friday 8th of August. If your child is going to be absent on Friday, please let us know via PAM.

100 DAYS OF MAGNIFY

Students have excitedly been counting down from the beginning of the year till the hundredth day of school. Today students celebrated this momentous occasion by dressing up in the Magnify colours of green and gold. We were also extremely lucky to have Kate Fogarty the director of Catholic Education Sandhurst come along and celebrate with us. During the morning parents visited the classrooms and enjoyed morning tea, whilst the students enjoyed their own morning tea and made special Magnify crowns. Students also received a special magnifying glass to celebrate this special occasion.

GLUE STICKS

We are in desperate need of more glue sticks for our Foundation students and would appreciate it if families could donate more to their children’s classroom.  If possible, the blue bostik brand would be preferred.
