Citizens of the Term 2025

Foundation Citizen of the Term 2 2025

Congratulations Safari!

Safari is such a pleasure to teach and to be around every day. She has such a positive attitude to everything she does and an awesome personality that brightens everyone’s day. Safari certainly displays all our school values of Care, Respect, Excellence and Community.

From the moment Safari walks into the classroom, you are greeted with a big smile, she completes her morning jobs, and then she will interact with her peers before taking her seat and starting her morning tasks. She is very easy to talk to and shares so many highlights with both teachers and friends. We all loved hearing about her trip to Bali and all the swimming she did! Her little face lights up and we’re all captivated to hear what happens next when she tells a story.

I see Safari as a very calm, patient and friendly student who is always kind to those around her. She has a caring nature, is happy to help anyone in need and includes others when they might feel left out. She encourages her table to do the right thing and win table points by helping people pack up and get organised.

Safari is an independent and organised learner who will always give everything her best shot. Her self-confidence has grown a great deal since starting school. Safari is now trying new things and not worrying about making mistakes anymore because she understands that mistakes are good! She takes a lot of pride in the presentation of her work and loves to draw. I think I see a little artist in the making!

I’m always hearing those very important words, please and thank you. Safari follows our school rules with ease. She is an active listener and happily waits her turn, whether that be waiting to share her ideas with the class or waiting to use play equipment outside. All wonderful examples of how she genuinely demonstrates our school value of Respect.

Whenever I’m out on duty, I’m witnessing a new trick every time on the monkey bars. The joy on Safari’s face is infectious at playtime as she runs around with her friends doing all the things she loves.

Safari has a genuine enjoyment and love for school life. I look forward to seeing you thrive throughout your primary school journey, Safari.

Congratulations Chadwick!

Chad is an outstanding student who consistently upholds our school values with quiet confidence and integrity. He approaches each day with enthusiasm and a positive mindset, eager to learn and contribute.

He arrives each day with a smile and a willingness to learn. He demonstrates a strong work ethic and gives every task his best effort. Chad follows the rules and always wants to do the right thing by his peers and teachers.

Chad listens carefully, waits his turn to speak, and brings deep thinking to class discussions. He enjoys sharing his knowledge but also values what others have to say. His ability to work conscientiously ensures he is taking in as much as he can from every lesson. He takes on and applies new knowledge with ease and is confident to share his ideas with his peers.

Chad is gentle, patient, and incredibly kind. He often sees when someone might be struggling—whether it's with schoolwork or just needing a friend—and offers help in such a thoughtful and respectful way.

He has an inquisitive mind and many varied interests. He loves tasks that set a challenge for him and will often still be thinking of better ways to solve problems long after we have completed them.

Chad, you are a quiet leader in our classroom, and a joy to teach. You are a role model to others and an absolute credit to our class. Thank you for being you—and congratulations on being the Grade 1/2 Citizen of the Term.

Congratulations Isla!

Isla shows our school values of care, respect, excellence and community in all that she does each day, from the moment she walks into the classroom ready to learn, when she is outside with her peers and when she says goodbye to me at the end of the day.

Isla shows care in the way that she is thoughtful, considerate and inclusive of everyone—whether it’s making sure no one is left out on the playground or offering kind encouragement in the classroom. She makes others feel welcome, heard and supported, and is always willing to help a friend or classmate.

Isla demonstrates respect in every interaction. She listens carefully, speaks kindly, and always considers how her actions affect others. She treats everyone with fairness and kindness, and her respectful nature helps to create a calm, positive and safe learning environment for all.

Isla shows excellence in the way she approaches her learning. She is conscientious, hardworking and always gives her best effort. Isla doesn’t shy away from challenges—she takes them on with resilience and a positive mindset. Whether it’s in class or in her own time, Isla has been working incredibly hard to improve her learning, and the growth she has made this year has been outstanding. She is reflective and responsible, always thinking about how she can grow, improve and contribute to our classroom community in meaningful ways. Isla sets a wonderful example for others and is a joy to have in our class. Congratulations, Isla. I am so proud of you and all that you have achieved. You are kind, caring, resilient and a true role model to those around you. Keep striving to be your best every day—because the person you are is something truly special.

Congratulations Tommy!

It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Tommy this year. No matter the challenge, he approaches every task with determination and an open mind, showing great maturity and a genuine desire to do his best. Tommy willingly accepts offers of help and acts on feedback when it is given. While he certainly knows how to have fun and enjoy himself, Tommy also understands when it is time to focus. He transitions seamlessly into learning without the need for reminders. His respectful manner is greatly appreciated by all his teachers and serves as a wonderful example to his peers.

What stands out most though, is Tommy’s kindness and empathy. He is the sort of person who always notices when someone needs a helping hand or a friendly word, and he never hesitates to step in. Whether supporting a classmate or greeting teachers with a smile, Tommy’s natural warmth and thoughtfulness help to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere wherever he goes. I know that our younger students love playing games with him in the courtyard before school.

Tommy has also shown tremendous pride in representing the school at various sporting events, always giving 100% on and off the field. He approaches every opportunity with enthusiasm and team spirit, and he does so with a sense of responsibility and quiet confidence. Tommy’s willingness to contribute in this way speaks volumes about his character. Tommy has a competitive spirit, but he is also gracious in defeat, most notably in class games of Ga-Ga where we often see him bowing out early but with a smile on his face.

Tommy, you should feel very proud of the way in which you live out our school values and learning behaviours in all aspects of your education. Congratulations once again on being selected as the 5/6 Citizen of the Term.
