Year 7

Leadership

Celebrating the Growth and Achievements of Our Year 7 Students

It has been both a privilege and an inspiration to witness the growth, perseverance, and maturity demonstrated by our Year 7 students as they navigated the challenges of their first semester in secondary school. While many initially found the transition to high school life daunting, the overwhelming majority have risen to the occasion with resilience, enthusiasm, and a commendable commitment to their learning.

Throughout the term, Year 7 students have embraced a wide array of academic and co-curricular opportunities. From contributing to the vibrant Middle Years Production of Frozen JR., to performing in music assemblies, engaging in the debating club, and participating in sporting events, students have shown initiative, teamwork, and school spirit in abundance. Their active involvement in significant school occasions such as Open Day and the ANZAC Service is a further testament to their growing leadership and sense of community responsibility.

In addition to these enriching experiences, students have also faced academic rigour through a series of essential assessments, which they approached with determination and focus. The ability of many students to balance these demands while still achieving excellent results and maintaining strong work habits deserves to be acknowledged and celebrated.

We extend special recognition to our Year 7 Home Group Captains, whom their peers thoughtfully chose as trustworthy and capable representatives. These student leaders have actively contributed to the Student Voice Workshop and have supported both teachers and classmates through their consistent leadership and example within the classroom environment.

As our students continue to grow in character and capability, we offer them the encouraging words from Scripture:

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.

1 Timothy 4:12

May this verse serve as a guiding light for all our Year 7 students as they strive for excellence in all areas of life.

We warmly congratulate every Year 7 student on a successful and enriching semester. We look forward to seeing their continued growth and encourage them to approach the remainder of the year with courage, integrity, and a positive mindset.
