Year 7 Visual Art students have been working on their 'Connection to Place' Graded Assessment task. This task explores First Nations perspectives and develops insight into how First Nations artists represent their connection to Country in artwork through visual language. Students select a place that they feel connected to and explore ways they can represent this place by using our art elements, such as colour, texture and shapes. Students explore a range of art making processes such as stamping and gel plate printmaking and abstract collage...here are some of their artworks and Albie Bettenay sharing the story of his artwork to classmate BJ Drew.

Year 8

The year eights have been practicing their technical design skills, learning how to draw in scale and creating 1:2 models of their chosen fragrance bottle design.

This week in English class, 8I were doing product pitches to their peers. It was great to see the students get up with confidence and proudly present their work. Mr. West was very impressed with the creativity of these pitches. Keep up the great work crew – Year Eight is Great!
