YEAR 7 KEY INFORMATION: WEEK 1

Welcome Back for Term 3

I hope all our families had an opportunity for rest, relaxation, and quality family time over the holiday break. I am looking forward to another term of growth for our Year 7 students. St Mary's will again have many opportunities throughout the term for students to explore their interests and build connections within our community. Students should stay up to date with these via the Daily Notices available through the Student Portal and read each morning during Pastoral Group.

Year 7 Camp: Echo Creek Adventure Centre

Wednesday, 20 August – Friday, 22 August (Week 6)

This year, students will again venture to the Echo Creek Adventure Centre, near Tully, for Year 7 Camp. This camp has proven to be a highlight of the Year 7 calendar, and we are excited for the shared experiences all Year 7 students will have together.

Further information and permission slips will be shared via Edsmart in the coming weeks; however, please reach out to me nbrooke@cns.catholic.edu.au as soon as possible should you have any concerns around your child's attendance at camp.

Student Belongings

As we return for Term 3 it is a good opportunity to remind students of their responsibilities in regard to their personal belongings. Please speak to your child about being responsible for their things at school in the following ways:

  • Check that they have a working lock - Lockers must be secured with a working lock, and codes must be kept private to ensure the safe and appropriate storage of valuable items.
  • Bags should be zipped up and placed above or below lockers or on the bag racks.
  • Laptops should be carried in their Laptop bags.
  • Hats, lunch boxes, water bottles, and other belongings should be clearly named and placed inside bags or lockers when not in use.

Uniform Schedule: Week 1
